The goal of the science curriculum is for students to become scientifically literate citizens, which means students will have a basic understanding of the natural sciences and their interaction with mathematics, technology and society. A basic understanding of science helps students learn, reason, think creatively, make decisions and solve problems. The science curriculum acknowledges the interdependence of science with other content areas, specifically mathematics and technology.
