Life Science 7 - 2 Trimesters
In Life Science students study the scientific method, cells, animals, plants, and human body systems.  The students have "hands-on experience with problem solving, dissection, microscope work, and various other lab activities.

Earth Science 8 – 3 Trimesters

Earth Science is a course of study which includes astronomy, physical and historical geology, hydrology and meteorology.  Students work with scientific equipment in various settings.

Physical Science 9 – 3 Trimesters

Physical Science deals with basic chemistry and physics.  Topics covered are elements, compounds, mixtures, the nature of matter, laws of motion, and simple machines.  Chemical and physical laws are explored through laboratory experimentation.  Collection and interpretation of data are stressed.

 

There are also High-Performance sections for each area of study.  Students must submit an application to be considered as a candidate.  HP placement is dependent upon a writing sample, test scores, and teach recommendation. For more information check the registration handbook.
