JUNIOR HIGH SUPPLY LIST 2009-2010

IMPORTANT:

ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE LOCKS FOR THEIR HALL LOCKER, BAND LOCKER (IF APPLICABLE) AND PHY ED LOCKER.  STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CONTENTS PLACED IN THEIR LOCKERS.  NOTE:  We do not recommend key locks or locks with changeable combinations.

Writing Utensils

1 package pens – blue or black ink only (NO GEL PENS)

3 packages pencils (1 package each trimester)

1 block eraser                                                            

1 package colored pencils (8 minimum)

2 packages colored pencils (for 7^th grade geography only)

7 spiral notebooks (a different color for each subject area/1 extra for English)

7 pocket folders (includes 1 extra for English)

1 one inch 3-ring notebook with dividers (for social 7/ 8)

1 package (200) 3x5 note cards

1 spiral bound sketch book for Art class (9x12 OR 8.5x11)

Public Library card

Removable USB Flash Drive (for storing computer files/projects)

1 ruler (with metric and customary units of measure) for math

1 protractor (small and simple) for math

1 scientific calculator (recommend TI 30XIIS) with fraction key for math

Zippered pouch to hold pencils and calculator for math

Fabric book cover for math book (jumbo size)

Phy Ed Supplies

Shorts and tee shirt

Warm sweatpants and sweatshirt to wear outside

One piece lined swimsuit and towel for swimming unit (girls)

Lined swim trunks and towel for swimming unit (boys)

1 combination lock for locker room

Roll-on deodorant

Lunch Account

Students need money for their lunch account.  Bring a check to new student open house in August or on first day of school.  Applications for free and reduced lunch will also be available at open house.

Backpacks

Students must store backpacks in their hall locker during the school day.  Students are not permitted to carry backpacks or large bags/duffels in the halls or classrooms during the school day.
