 | | Course Overview | | Welcome to Brooklyn Junior High. My name is Katie LaPointe, and I will be your child's reading/writing lab teacher. Reading/writing lab is a multi-grade course designed to improve reading and writing skills.
In reading/writing lab, many days will begin with a large group mini-lesson. The topic of this mini-lesson will be reinforced as students rotate among three stations: small group, computers, and independent reading. At each station, instruction is individualized to meet the needs of your child and accelerate his/her growth as a reader.
