ATTENTION STAFF:  THERE IS NO DEPARTMENT CHAIR MEETING TONIGHT.

 

ATTENTION MOVE IT BOYS AND GIRLS!  Today is the last day to turn in your permission slips for the Move It field trip.

 

YEARBOOK UPDATE:  This is the last week to order a yearbook!  You can pick up an order form in the main office.  Order forms can be returned to the main office.

 

TRI CITY BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS WILL BE HELD NEXT SATURDAY, MARCH 20.  Informational flyers are available in the main office.

           

ALL LUNCH MONEY DEPOSITS NEED TO BE MADE BEFORE SCHOOL.  No cash will be accepted after the school day starts or during lunch.  Checks may be put in the check drop until 11:00 a.m.  Do not come between classes or during class time expecting to put money in your account.  It will not be accepted.

NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS FRIDAY!  HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!

 
  Things to remember:

 

1.      The Administrator’s office is CLOSED once the 2:40 bell rings.  Any items that were housed in an Administrator’s office during the day can be picked up at the front receptionist’s desk after school.

 

 

2.  Please do not share lockers with your friends; you are responsible for the contents of your locker.  If something is found in your locker that is not supposed to be there, it will be your responsibility.

 

3.   When you enter the building please remove all headgear, headphones, sun glasses and iPods.  These items are to remain in your locker during the day.

 

4.     You are not allowed to wear coats or backpacks during school.  Please put them in your locker.  If you are repeatedly reminded to take them off they will be confiscated.

 

5.     Cell phones may not be used in the building at any time.  They should not be seen during, before or after school.  Please keep your cell phones in your lockers during the school day. 

 

6.    If you need to see a school Counselor all students MUST enter through the Counseling door off the Science hallway.  Access to counseling through the main office area will no longer be available.  If you enter through the main office you will be asked to go around to the Counseling door.

 

7.   Students are reminded to sign in on the blue sign in sheet at the reception desk whenever you come to the main office to see an administrator.  This is necessary so that you are accounted for and not marked absent or truant from class during the school day.

 

 

8.     Students are reminded to use the appropriate stairwells during passing time.  Keep in mind that there are specific stairwells for up and down directions.  They are designated with a sign.  You will be asked to turn around if you are using the wrong stairwell.  The interior middle stairwell is used for up only, the middle stairwell with the windows is used for down only during passing time.  Both north and south end stairwells are used for up only during passing time.  There is a down stairwell on the north side (tennis court side-windows) of the building that is a down stairwell during passing time.

 

9.      If you have an appointment with a teacher before school you should report to the front office and wait for your teacher.

 

10.  After school bell:  at 2:50 p.m. every day.  At that time students should be in their assigned class or after school activity.  If you are in the hall you will be escorted out of the building.

 

11.  Students who stay after school for any reason may not leave the building.  You must report directly to your teacher or coach.  If you plan to attend an athletic event you must being an updated planner and a student ID to room 115 by 2:50PM. Teachers & Coaches, do not allow students to enter after 2:50 pm.

 

12. Students please remember to keep your clothing appropriate for school:

 

Guys:  Do not wear muscle shirts, hats, do-rags or clothing that exposes Underwear.  NO SAGGING.  No pajama pants or slippers!

 

Girls: Skirts and shorts must be longer than your outstretched fingertips,    no clothing that exposes underwear and no bare midriffs. Lasagna straps only, no spaghetti straps. No pajama pants or slippers!

 

Remember if your clothing is inappropriate you will be asked to change.

 

 

13.     Students, you will not be allowed to wait inthe front entrance before school. 

 

14.  BROOKLYN JUNIOR HIGH Students are not allowed to be on Park Center property afterschool. BJH students who are found on ParkCenter property may be cited with trespassing.

 

15.   BJ students, if you are to meet younger siblings at Birch Grove remember to meet them by the water tower. You are not allowed on Birch Grove school property. If you are found on their property you could be cited with a trespassing citation.
